The Department of Homeland Security announced five additional companies based in the People’s Republic of China have been added to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) Entity List.
“As DHS identifies more entities across different sectors that use or facilitate forced labor, we act to keep their tainted goods out of our nation’s supply chains,” said DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
He added that this action “strengthens our enforcement of the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act and helps responsible companies conduct due diligence so that, together, we can keep the products of forced labor out of our country. We will continue to implement this law with full force in our efforts to fight the exploitation and abuse of the Uyghur people and other persecuted groups and protect a free and fair market.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Mayorkas to be honest and ethical is his management of the Department of Homeland Security.
- For DHS officials as they implement actions to prevent forced labor in China and other nations.
- For the president, vice president, and Cabinet secretaries to seek God’s direction as they enact policies.
