National Park Entrance Fees Waived for Great American Outdoors Anniversary

The Interior Department commemorates four years of the Great American Outdoors Act.

To celebrate the fourth anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act, the Department of the Interior (DOI) is waiving all entrance fees to U.S. National Parks and other public lands on Sunday, August 4. This piece of legislation allowed the department to improve public land conservation and visitor experience, supporting over 17,000 jobs that repair roads, retrofit visitor centers, and partner with Tribal initiatives.

“The Great American Outdoors Act has allowed the Interior Department to tackle long-deferred infrastructure needs that will support communities in every corner of the nation long into the future,” said Secretary Deb Haaland. “From coast to coast, this historic law is making improvements that are benefiting the millions of visitors who visit our incredible public lands through enhanced visitor experiences, better access, and improved safety.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Haaland to be led by the Lord as she oversees the Interior Department.
  • For Director Chuck Sams to be prudent as he heads the National Park Service.
