Secretary of State Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin are traveling to countries in the Indo-Pacific this week. Secretary Austin is meeting with defense ministers in Japan, India, Australia, and the Philippines.
During his time in Laos, Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, and Mongolia, State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said, “Secretary Blinken will reaffirm the importance of the work the United States does with our allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific to advancing security and prosperity and facilitating a shared vision for a free and open region.“
He continued, “The Secretary will further underscore the United States’ enduring commitment to deepening and expanding ties to unprecedented levels and creating mutually reinforcing relationships to tackle today’s greatest challenges.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretaries Blinken and Austin to be led by God as they meet with foreign dignitaries and ministers.
- For the president and vice president to seek the Lord’s guidance as they pursue the administration’s goals.
- For discernment for U.S. officials as they craft strategies to counter the global influence of China.
