President Joe Biden created a Presidential Emergency Board by executive order this week to assist in the resolution of a dispute between the New Jersey Transit Rail and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET).
The Railway Labor Act requires the president to provide such a board when a party to the dispute requests one.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated, “The Presidential Emergency Board will provide a structure that allows the two sides to attempt to resolve their disagreements.“
She continued, “Within 30 days following its establishment, the Presidential Emergency Board will produce a report to the President with its recommendations for settling the dispute.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For discernment for the emergency board members as they assist with the railway labor dispute.
- For Acting Secretary Su to receive God’s direction as she oversees the Labor Department.
