Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is going to address a joint session of the U.S. Congress.

President Joe Biden did not meet with the prime minister as scheduled on Tuesday, but will reportedly meet with him on Thursday.

Vice President Kamala Harris, previously scheduled for an event in Indianapolis, will not be presiding over the joint session today.

An aide to Vice President Harris stated, “Throughout her career, the vice president has had an unwavering commitment to the security of Israel. That remains true today.” He said the vice president’s meeting with the prime minister “will continue her intensive engagement on the conflict in Gaza.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For members of Congress as they welcome Prime Minister Netanyahu.
  • For House Speaker Johnson and Majority Leader Schumer as they preside over their chambers.
  • For the president and vice president to be discerning as they prepare to meet with the Israeli prime minister.
  • For wisdom for U.S. officials in the administration and Congress as they seek a resolution to the war in Gaza.
