The junior Senator from Ohio will be joining former President Trump on the Republican election ticket.
On Monday, former President Donald Trump announced that he has selected Ohio Senator James David Vance as his Vice President running mate. The president made the announcement and said, “After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio.”
Senator Vance was elected into office in 2023. Previously, he served in the United States Marine Corps before earning a political science degree from Ohio State University. He earned a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School before writing his best-selling novel Hillbilly Elegy. He also worked as a venture capitalist in San Fransico prior to his time in public office.
