Today, President Joe Biden returned to the White House, cutting short his stay in Delaware. Following the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, President Joe Biden said, “There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.” He added, “I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally.”

Multiple departments have launched full-scale investigations in an attempt to determine how the shooter was able to get so close to the venue. These include the Secret Service, the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and state and local law enforcement agencies.

The president will meet with the department heads this morning as part of an official briefing at the White House. He added that, out of respect for President Trump, he has temporarily paused all campaign advertising.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God’s hand of protection to be over all of the nation’s leaders during this volatile time.
  • For swift recovery for former President Trump.
  • For God to direct the investigation to reveal the truth and lead to a greater level of security and protection for all who hold public office.
  • For wisdom for President Biden as he monitors the ongoing developments.
