Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. – Romans 5:1
Most sites managed by the National Park Service are free to visit, but a reservation and entrance pass may be required. Among the many passes they offer is one called “America the Beautiful.” It is an interagency pass that covers any entrance fees and day-use fees for amenities, which covers all federal recreational sites for a year or even for a lifetime. Such all-access passes include admission to national battlefields and historic sites, national monuments, national seashores, and the 63 designated national parks.
People who have been saved by grace through faith in Christ have an automatic all-access pass to a myriad of blessings. Among the bountiful gifts bestowed on you by the Lord is the gift of being made right with God. Today’s verse says you have been justified, meaning you have been declared righteous. Instead of being at enmity with God as a result of sin, you are a child of peace. Instead of being separated from Him, you have been brought into eternal communion with Him. Your justification is a fait accompli—“one and done”—a legal standing, an all-access pass to the throne of God.
Peace with God is now yours. Author and Bible scholar Wayne Barber said, “That means that I have it today, I will have it tomorrow. I will have it the next day. I will have it forever.” An old bumper sticker said, “No god, no peace. Know God, know peace.” Your permanent justification occurred when you received Christ as your Savior. He sanctifies you as you walk with Him daily. And you await your future glorification, when you shall be forever with the Lord. If you are lacking that deep inner peace you have been gifted, check the depth of your belief in God and His Word, allow yourself to be guided by the power of the Holy Spirit, and seek His help.

5 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
