The Federal Emergency Management Agency is continuing its ongoing response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl last week. As temperatures rise over 100 degrees, over 1 million homes and businesses are still without power. First responders are working tirelessly to restore power and basic services.
President Joe Biden issued a disaster declaration earlier in the week stating that “Federal funding is available to State, tribal, and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work” across Texas.
First Lady Jill Biden will be traveling to Pittsburgh this weekend to meet with residents of Pennsylvania and to discuss how the administration can better meet the specifici needs of the state.
