Issue 655 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall said the service is not abandoning the program to build a next-generation fighter. However, the platform will need to be redesigned to reduce costs and to integrate autonomous drone wingmen, known as collaborative combat aircraft (CCA).

Pray for the secretaries and commandants of the U.S. military branches as they manage the development and costs of new equipment.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

The limited approval the White House had provided Ukraine to fire U.S. weapons into Russia has expanded. Experts are predicting that cross-border strikes “could really change the war.“

Pray for discernment for U.S. governing officials as they assess the restrictions they have placed on Ukraine’s use of American armaments.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

The U.S. has reportedly decided to release a 1,800 bomb shipment to Israel that was paused months ago. Another part of the shipment is still under negotiations. It is estimated that the U.S. has supplied Israel with over 23,000 bombs, missiles, and other armaments since the Hamas attack on October 7.

Pray for U.S. security and military officials as they gauge the amount of munitions being sent overseas.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is working to increase the capacity to test for the H5N1 bird flu virus in humans. Principal Deputy Director Nirav Shah acknowledged that the risk to the general public remains low.

Pray for prudence for CDC officials as they seek to predict the necessity for viral testing.

Pray for Needs Across the States

State senators in Massachusetts have requested Governor Maura Healey review the number of migrant families being supported by taxpayer funds. Many migrants have entered the nation on the condition that a sponsor would cover their expenses and the legislators wrote to the governor to ensure those commitments for financial support are fulfilled.

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper signed legislation that adopts the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism into state law. State legislators overwhelmingly supported the measure, which may assist law enforcement in determining whether or not a hate crime has been committed.

Pray for state officials as they identify and address the various issues that their citizens face.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“The power of Jesus can overcome the darkest of demonic spirits. The people of Ephesus could not deny the miracles that were wrought by the hands of Paul. Charlatans and hucksters were unable to imitate that which was authentic, and it sent shockwaves through the city, and it brought about revival. How did it start? With the power of the Holy Spirit, with the Word of God, that’s how revival starts, guys.“ – John Randall, A Daily Walk, June 2024
