Today, officials from the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, the White House Domestic Policy Council, the White House Office of Management and Budget, and the White House Council on Native American Affairs (WHCNAA) are holding a consultation with Tribal leaders.

The virtual meeting will discuss President Biden’s executive order that directs the development of guidance for assessing federal funding for programs for Tribal nations.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs stated that the president’s administration seeks to respect Tribal sovereignty and support their self-determination by identifying shortfalls in funding and gathering information for recommendations to help address Tribal nations’ needs.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the heads of the White House offices and councils to be discerning as they consult with Tribal leaders.
  • For federal legislators and members of the administration as they seek to fulfill the nation’s obligations to Native Americans.
  • For the president and secretaries in his Cabinet to receive God’s guidance as they determine policies and promote programs.
