Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio, chair of the House Judiciary Committee, expressed support for the Supreme Court’s decision regarding presidential immunity for official acts of former President Donald Trump. Congressman Jordan also called out the federal prosecutor from the Department of Justice who headed the prosecution of President Trump in court.
“Hyper-partisan prosecutors like Jack Smith cannot weaponize the rule of law to go after the Administration’s chief political rival, and we hope that the left will stop its attacks on President Trump and uphold democratic norms,” Representative Jordan stated. “The Judiciary Committee will continue to oversee dangerous lawfare tactics in our judicial system.”
