Today, the House Committee on Energy and Commerce’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, chaired by Representative Morgan Griffith of Virginia, is holding a hearing to examine anti-doping measures in advance of the 2024 Olympics.

Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Subcommittee Chair Griffith stated, “Olympic athletes dedicate years of their lives to perfect their craft in order to represent the United States on the world stage. They—as well as athletes from every other country—deserve to compete on a level playing field that’s free of banned performance enhancing drugs.”

Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo is hosting the 2024 SelectUSA Investment Summit at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Senior members of President Biden’s administration are speaking at the summit where businesses from around the world are announcing new plans for investment in the U.S.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for the committee and subcommittee chairs and members as they investigate the measures being taken to ensure fair Olympic competition.
  • For the officials from the president’s administration to be discerning in their remarks at the investment summit.
  • That the president, his staff, and Cabinet secretaries would look to the Lord for direction.
