Commerce Secretary Meets with Advisors on Supply Chain Competitiveness

Officials are developing a risk-assessment framework for the U.S. economy.

Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo recently met with the Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness virtually, to receive updates from experts on how best to support the interconnectedness of U.S. businesses both domestically and abroad.

Secretary Raimondo provided updates on recent financial investments made by President Biden’s administration to expand domestic production and supply infrastructure. Committee members shared the progress made by the Supply Chain Center to “create a cross-sectoral risk assessment framework to identify systemic supply chain risk across the U.S. economy.”

Members also focused on recent economic collaborations with Vietnam and India to increase supply chain diversification. Economic negotiators shared the current status of discussions for the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF).

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Raimondo to be led by God as she heads the Commerce Department.
  • For wisdom for U.S. commerce officials as they seek to strengthen the nation‘s supply chain.
