The resource is intended to facilitate AI experimentation and development.
The Air Force and Space Force launched a generative AI tool for general military use, encouraging airmen and guardians to try using the technology to aid report summarization, IT assistance, and simple coding. General experimentation using this AI tool, dubbed NIPRGPT (Non-classified Internet Protocol Generative Pre-training Transformer), will help military developers tailor the program for improved general use down the line.
“Our goal is always to be able to say what technologies are relevant to our mission now and in the future,” said Alexis Bonnell, chief information officer at the Air Force Research Laboratory. “NIPRGPT will really provide a place where people can exercise that curiosity in a safe and appropriate manner, where they can understand what parts of their work can potentially be complemented.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for CIO Bonnell and researchers in the USAF laboratory as they develop AI technology.
- For the leaders on the U.S. Air Force and Space Force as they seek to utilize generative AI tools.
