Sunday, June 9

Today, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are traveling from Paris to Belleau, France.

They will pay respects and participate in a wreath laying at the World War I Aisne-Marne American Cemetery.

The American Battle Monuments Commission says of the site, “The cemetery contains the graves of 2,289 war dead, most of whom fought in the vicinity and in the Marne Valley in the summer of 1918.“

“A monument at the flagpole commemorates the valor of the U.S. Marines who captured much of this ground in 1918.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and first lady as they honor the fallen from the First World War.
  • For President Biden, members of his administration, and military leaders to be discerning in their responses to hostilities around the globe.
  • For the Lord to accomplish His purposes through the governing officials in the United States.
