He says, “If you want peace, you will be there.“
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to President Joe Biden’s expected absence from a peace summit in Switzerland next month, which Kyiv will head. Switzerland has invited over 160 international delegations to the mid-June summit, of whom at least 70 have accepted.
“I believe that the Peace Summit needs President Biden, and other leaders who are looking at the U.S. response also need him,” President Zelensky said. He continued that he believes attending or skipping the event is an indication of a nation’s stance on the conflict in Ukraine.
He added, “If you want peace, you will be there, and you will speak, even if you don’t agree with something.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for President Biden and his advisors as they consider the request of the Ukrainian president to attend the peace summit.
- For God’s guidance for the president and his foreign diplomats as they assess the war in Ukraine.
