Investments would be made in STEM education to ensure U.S. AI leadership.
Senators Jerry Moran of Kansas and Maria Cantwell of Washington recently introduced the NSF AI Education Act of 2024 to support investments in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. The bill would authorize the National Science Foundation (NSF) to award scholarships to students who are studying artificial intelligence and quantum education.
“Artificial intelligence has tremendous potential, but it will require a skilled and capable workforce to unlock its capabilities,” Senator Moran said. “If we want to fully understand AI and remain globally competitive, we must invest in the future workforce today.”
“Demand for AI expertise is already high and will continue to grow,” Senator Cantwell stated. “This bill will open doors to AI for students at all levels and upskill our workforce to drive American tech innovation entrepreneurship and progress in solving the toughest global challenges.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Senators Moran and Cantwell as they promote the technical education legislation.
- For Director Sethuraman Panchanathan to receive God’s wisdom as he heads the National Science Foundation.
