The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) released a projection as the summer travel season begins, estimating that today will be the busiest travel day of the long Memorial Day weekend.

“In close coordination with airport, airline, and travel partners, we are more than ready to handle this summer’s increased travel volumes,“ TSA Administrator David Pekoske said. “We are also continuing to deploy state-of-the-art checkpoint technology that increases security effectiveness, efficiency, and enhances the passenger experience.”

The agency stated, “TSA is continuing to modernize airport security checkpoints across the country with a focus on enhanced detection methods to best secure the aviation system. This summer, airline passengers can expect to encounter some of those latest checkpoint technologies.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Administrator Pekoske to be led by the Lord as he manages TSA.
  • For discernment for TSA workers and consideration for American travelers as they kick off the summer travel season
  • For wisdom for the president and administration officials as they evaluate new national security technologies.
