He discussed the Moscow concert hall attack during a House budget hearing.
Federal Bureau of Investigation( FBI) Director Christopher Wray shared his concerns with the House Appropriations Committee that escalating public attacks across the globe could soon reach the United States. His concerns were heightened by a deadly attack carried out by four suspected gunmen in Russia on March 22, which killed at least 144 people in a packed concert hall in a suburb outside of Moscow. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
“As I look back over my career in law enforcement, I would be hard-pressed to think of a time where so many threats to our public safety and national security were so elevated all at once,” Director Wray told the committee at the FBI’s budget hearing. “But that is the case as I sit here today.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Director Wray to seek God’s guidance as he heads the FBI.
- For officials in the American intelligence community as they seek information to prevent a mass coordinated attack.
