The director says it “will preserve innovation and price competition.”
Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Bureau of Competition Director Henry Liu recently affirmed Qualcomm Inc.’s decision to withdraw from its planned acquisition of Autotalks Ltd.
Director Lui stated, “The termination of this proposed transaction will preserve vigorous innovation and price competition in the market for vehicle-to-everything (V2X) chipsets and related products used in automotive safety systems. This is a win for car buyers seeking quality, affordable cars with V2X communication capabilities that promise to make driving easier and safer.”
He also highlighted this move would be beneficial for car buyers by ensuring access to quality, affordable vehicles equipped with V2X communication technology to enhance driving safety and convenience.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Director Liu as he heads the Bureau of Competition at the FTC.
- For the commissioners of the FTC to be prudent in their reviews and proposed regulations.
