Today, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are expected to attend Easter Sunday services before returning to the White House from Camp David.
In his previous Easter address, President Biden stated, “Jill and I join Christians around the world in celebrating Easter Sunday, a day of hope and joy, renewal and rebirth. It marks the end of Lent, a period of sacrifice and contemplation. And it commemorates Christ’s Resurrection, a powerful reminder of God’s love and the promise of redemption for us all.“
He continued, “Today, we hold close the Easter message that nothing – not even death – can match the power of faith, hope, and love. And we remember Jesus’ sacrifice and recommit ourselves to love God with all our hearts and to love our neighbors as ourselves, embracing His call to treat one another with compassion.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the Lord to be honored and glorified through the Easter celebration as we remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and the resurrection into new life.
- For all who serve in the federal government to seek a deep and transforming relationship with God through the blood of Christ our Savior.
- For the president to receive God’s wisdom as he prepares for the week ahead.
