Over a dozen members of the minority party approve the measure as illegal immigration numbers increase.
Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz of Texas introduced a measure that passed in the House of Representatives denouncing President Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for creating “the worst border security crisis in the Nation’s history.” The resolution stated that the president “systematically dismantled effective border security measures and interior immigration enforcement.”
“The current state of our nation’s border security is unsustainable,” said Representative De La Cruz. “The policies put forth by the Biden administration have resulted in the worst border security crisis in our nation’s history, endangering our communities and straining our resources.”
The House majority refused to take up a bill passed in the Senate last month that allowed high numbers of migrants into the nation as well as pathways to citizenship.
