The Defense Department’s Chief Digital and Intelligence Office is hosting the Advantage DoD 2024: Defense Data & AI Symposium in Washington, D.C.
The department stated that the three-day symposium “will bring together data professionals from the government, industry, and academia to discuss the technology needs of the Department of Defense (DOD), including the future of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) development and use in DOD.“
The department continued, “Advantage DoD 2024 will highlight work from Task Force Lima, the team charged with determining the responsible and secure implementation of large language models (LLMs) in DoD. Other sessions will focus on topics, such as AI scaffolding, data mesh services, recent strategy and policy issuances, the DoD digital workforce, and work with Allies and partners.“
