NSA Sullivan will meet with legislators on Capitol Hill Thursday.
On Wednesday, Chair of the House Intelligence Committee Mike Turner of Ohio requested that President Biden’s administration declassify information related to a serious national security threat.
House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana stated, “I saw Chairman Turner’s statement on the issue and I want to assure the American people, there is no need for public alarm. We are going to work together to address this matter, as we do all sensitive matters that are classified.”
White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will be meeting on Thursday at the Capitol with the House speaker, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York, and Congressmen Turner and Jim Himes, ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee.
