President Joe Biden will welcome German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to the White House today. The two leaders will discuss support for Ukraine’s defense against Russia as well as support for Israel’s right to self-defense and preventing regional escalation in the Middle East.
Today, Vice President Kamala Harris is hosting a ceremony at the White House to honor graduates from the University of Chicago Crime Lab’s Community Violence Intervention Leadership Academy. The inaugural class has 31 graduates.
President Joe Biden established the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention in September of 2023. The vice president is the head of the office.
