Draw Nearer to Christ This Year
The Scottish minister, teacher, and author Oswald Chambers once wrote, “Leave the broken, irreversible past in God’s hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him.” If you are a New Year’s resolution maker, stepping out with Christ is the highest and best you could have for 2024! Remember, Jesus told Martha that “only one thing is needed” (Luke 10:41-42). That is the time you step away from busyness and sit at the feet of the Master. It must be intentional—a daily priority—or other things will certainly get in the way. Learn what His calling is for you and follow Him in obedience. Stay in God’s Word and in prayer, and He will lead you in joy, hope, and strength (Romans 15:13).
