The House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee, chaired by Representative Mark Green of Tennessee, is holding a full committee hearing today to start the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
When he announced the beginning of impeachment proceedings against the DHS secretary, Chairman Green stated that the committee’s previous investigation into the status of the U.S. border and immigration “made clear that this crisis finds its foundation in Secretary Mayorkas’ decision-making and refusal to enforce the laws passed by Congress, and that his failure to fulfill his oath of office demands accountability. The bipartisan House vote in November to refer articles of impeachment to my Committee only served to highlight the importance of our taking up the impeachment process.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Chairman Green and members of the House Homeland Security Committee as they launch the impeachment hearing of the DHS secretary.
- For Secretary Mayorkas to be cooperative and transparent regarding the execution of his duties and responsibilities.
- That the president and his administration would enforce current U.S. immigration and border security laws.
