Vice President’s flight diverted as storms sweep across the nation.
Air Force 2, the government plane used by Vice President Kamala Harris, was diverted Tuesday evening as major winter storms spread across the nation. The plane encountered “wind shear” as it was flying out from Atlanta, a sudden change in wind direction and speed that can drive planes significantly off their course, pushing the crew to land and wait at a nearby airport on its way back to Washington, D.C.
“Air Force 2 was diverted to Dulles International Airport from Joint Base Andrews,” Harris’s spokesperson, Kirsten Allen stated. Vice President Harris has confirmed that she has returned home safely after the brief diversion.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- With gratitude for the safekeeping of the vice president.
- For the pilots and crew of both Air Force One and Air Force Two as they fly the president and vice president around the nation.
