It is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. – Matthew 18:14
Upon the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law by Congress and its signing by President Joe Biden over two years ago, many infrastructure construction and repair projects have been approved by the Department of Transportation and other federal agencies. On this day in 1795, the first funds for road building were appropriated by the treasurer of Kentucky to construct a wagon road through dense forests. One of the roads would follow the path marked by Daniel Boone as the Wilderness Trail. Today, as you pray over the United States and those in positions of authority, consider the lives of Biblical characters who provide examples of devotion and dedication to Almighty God. Meditate on the ways the Lord has blessed you and draw close to Him in gratitude, with praise. Honor the Lord Jesus for being the Way to the Father.
As the Lord leads, pray with us…
- For Transportation Secretary Buttigieg and department officials as they oversee the approval and progress of infrastructure projects.
- For members of Congress as they investigate various federal departments to ensure the appropriations legislators have made are used according to the law.
