Secretary Cardona says the Public Service Announcements support diversity as part of the “Raise the Bar” effort.
The Department of Education recently launched an ad campaign to encourage people of color to become teachers. This latest Public Service Announcement is titled “Teachers: Leaders Shaping Lives” and was developed in partnership with TEACH.org and One Million Teachers of Color, an organization that intends to increase the number of teachers of color to a total of one million by 2030.
“This campaign reflects the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to elevating the teaching profession and encouraging more talented people, and especially those from underrepresented communities, to pursue fulfilling and impactful careers as educators,“ Education Secretary Miguel Cardona stated. “At the Department, our efforts to help states and districts grow a talented and diverse teacher pipeline are at the core of our efforts to Raise the Bar in education.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For U.S. education officials as they seek to increase diversity in the teaching profession.
- For wisdom for Secretary Cardona as he heads the Department of Education.
- For teachers to work to properly and effectively educate American children so they are prepared for the future.
