The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble. – Proverbs 16:4
Today’s verse highlights the sovereignty of the Lord God. He is the Creator of all that exists. Sometimes in your life, you experience injustice or extremely unfair circumstances. The Lord is available to hear your hurts and pain. In the psalms, God is repeatedly called upon to be David’s Vindicator (Psalm 17:2, 26:1, 35:24, 43:1, 54:1). The prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah both spoke of the vindication that the Lord brings. As you walk through the trials of this life, recall that your Maker sees you and is walking along with you through the tough times. Just as God came and walked in the fire with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3:13-30), He will not leave you in your darkest hours. Remember that the Lord shut the mouth of the lions when Daniel was thrown into their den (Daniel 6:16-23), He did not stop Daniel from being placed there!
