A veteran with mental health issues killed 18 before taking his own life.
President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden traveled to Lewiston, Maine, on Friday to meet with the families of victims shot during a mass shooting last Saturday.
The White House announced, “The President and First Lady will pay respects to the victims of this horrific attack and grieve with families and community members, as well as meet with first responders, nurses, and others on the front lines of the response.”
A U.S. Army veteran with mental health issues entered a bowling alley on October 28 and opened fire. He drove away and then shot up a restaurant a few miles away before taking his own life in a cargo trailer.
In total, 18 people were killed and 13 people were injured, making this the deadliest mass shooting to occur in Maine.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and first lady as they offer consolation to the families of the slain.
- For healing for the survivors of the mass shooting.
- That veterans who have mental health needs will reach out for assistance.
