Veterans involved in class action lawsuits over earplugs have been targeted.
District Judge M. Casey Rodgers warned the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) last month that scam callers were targeting those involved in a class action lawsuit against 3M, in an effort to steal their identities.
3M came to a $6 billion settlement with more than 200,000 lawsuits submitted by current and former military members due to claims that the company’s earplugs caused widespread hearing damage. Scammers impersonated officials organizing the lawsuit, saying that they needed people’s full names and social security numbers for them to receive settlement funding.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Judge Rogers to seek God’s guidance as she hears cases and writes decisions.
- For FBI officials as they investigate the telephone scams targeting veterans involved in the 3M lawsuits.
- For healing for veterans who have experienced hearing loss due to faulty 3M earplugs and for discernment to avoid identity thieves.
