Flights will take U.S. citizens to locations in Europe.
Several U.S. airlines canceled flights in the aftermath of Hamas’ attack on Israel, trapping many Americans in the Jewish state. National Security Council Spokesman John Kirby said that the president’s administration is working to arrange charters for U.S. citizens due to the lack of commercial flights available.
He said, beginning on Friday “the United States government will arrange charter flights to provide transportation from Israel to sites in Europe.” The State Department is working out the details of the flights which will be for Americans and immediate family members.
Spokesman Kirby added, “We’re also exploring other options to expand the capacity of doing this including whether it’s possible to help Americans by land and by sea.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For State Department officials as they arrange the charter flights to evacuate U.S. citizens.
- For Secretary Blinken as he concludes his trip to the Middle East today.
- For the peace of Jerusalem and wisdom for Israeli leaders.
