Stand, therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness. – Ephesians 6:14
Stand for Truth
Truth or fiction? There is so much rhetoric in the United States today that mixes the two, making it difficult to distinguish one from the other. The devil is a master at twisting in just enough truth to make the lies believable. That is only one of the spiritual battles that are going on right now, in which you find yourself in the middle. The apostle Paul says in today’s verse to strap the belt of truth around you, standing up for truth and righteousness. God has given you His Word to show you the truth (John 17:17), and you have the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth (John 16:13). If you feel confused, pray for discernment. Then fearlessly stand for what God has shown you to be true!
