State and local education agencies invited to participate
The Department of Education launched its Kindergarten Sturdy Bridge Learning Community, a peer learning program open to state and local education agencies to share technical assistance and best practices for teaching kindergarten students. Kindergarten is a crucial time during child development, and the department hopes that establishing this information-sharing structure helps build the communities necessary to support students taking their first steps into school.
“Ensuring that kindergarten is a sturdy bridge between the early years and early grades is central to our efforts both to Raise the Bar for academic excellence and to provide all students with a more equitable foundation for educational success,” said Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Cardona as he implements programs to enhance learning during early childhood.
- For Education Department officials to be discerning as they support state and local agencies.
