U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo is traveling to the People’s Republic of China (PRC). She will meet with senior PRC officials and U.S. business leaders in Beijing and Shanghai.
The Commerce Department spokesperson stated, “Secretary Raimondo’s travel follows President Biden’s meeting with President Xi last November to deepen communication between the U.S. and the PRC on a range of issues.“
The spokesperson added, “Secretary Raimondo looks forward to constructive discussions on issues relating to the U.S.-China commercial relationship, challenges faced by U.S. businesses, and areas for potential cooperation.“
Secretary Raimondo met with the Ambassador from the People’s Republic of China Xie Feng last week in preparation for her trip. They discussed issues relating to the U.S.-China commercial relationship, challenges faced by U.S. businesses, and areas for potential cooperation.
