As a believer, you are uniquely gifted by the Holy Spirit to serve and glorify the Lord. Today’s verse speaks to the diversity of talents that the Lord has placed in those who follow Christ. Each one is allotted specific abilities to contribute to the body of Christ. The gifts God has created in you help to fulfill the purposes God has for your life and for His Church. There is no benefit to comparing or measuring what God has given you to the giftedness of others. Celebrate the variety of gifts within the body of Christ and work with others to further the Lord’s kingdom. As you apply your talents for the glory of God, do not underestimate the gift He has given, and always remember that all abilities come from Him. Praise and thank God as you look to Him for direction in using these gifts and talents, and trust the Holy Spirit to guide you in your walk with Him.
