Operation Artemis has seized over 5,000 pounds of ingredients thus far.
Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas recently provided an update on Operation Artemis, highlighting its progress in combating the spread of fentanyl in the United States. Thus far, Department of Homeland Security intelligence has facilitated 130 seizures of suspicious materials traveling along known fentanyl supply chains, detaining over 5,000 pounds of ingredient chemicals for fentanyl, 60 pill presses and pill molds, 300 pounds of methamphetamine, and 5,000 pounds of other drugs.
“Fentanyl is one of the greatest challenges that we are facing as a country, and our efforts are multipronged in addressing the traffickers who peddle in death and destruction,” said Secretary Mayorkas. “We will not stop our efforts until we eliminate the scourge of fentanyl and other contraband that is causing so much harm in our communities.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Mayorkas as he oversees Operation Artemis and other efforts to prevent drug trafficking.
- For DHS agents as they disrupt the supply chains of traffickers and seize paraphernalia.
- For the American people to be aware of the dangers of fentanyl and other illicit substances.
