He will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body. – Philippians 3:21
How would you describe your body? For some, what might come to mind is a list of aches and pains. Others may describe their body with physical attributes like the color of their eyes, hair, or skin. Many see their bodies in generalities like strong and muscular or plump and round. Every physical body tells a story and, while you are more than merely your corporeal being, it is the physical part of “you” that you possess.
The Bible reveals God’s plan for the body you have been given. Like all creation, one day it will be transformed. The apostle Paul wrote on the topic, “For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead” (1 Corinthians 15:21). Like Christ, His followers will one day have a resurrected body and, through Him, it will no longer be perishable, nor susceptible to death or disease. This body will not be weak but powerful and full of His Spirit. Today, your physical frame bears the impact and distress of living in a world of brokenness and sin. Your resurrected body will reveal the glory of God and the joy of a sinless existence with Christ.
If you are familiar with the attributes of God, you know His very essence is life and restoration. You can trust Him to take the body you have and redeem it to His original concept of beauty. Ask the Lord to restore the United States as one nation under God, for His glory. Pray that governing officials make decisions that honor God and His will for the country.

3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, 4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.
