The context of today’s verse is about not losing heart despite outer circumstances. Walking with Jesus daily cultivates the believer’s relationship with Him, renewing the soul and spirit. Regardless of what is happening on the outside, the Savior provides the peace to calm your troubled heart. His mercies are new every morning, not just here and there. It is the Lord’s desire to have a relationship with anyone and everyone who asks. Pray for opportunities to share His peace with others, and encourage those around you to a daily relationship with Christ provides hope when things look dim. Pray today for the nation’s public officials to develop a desire to follow the One who gives grace, mercy, and hope and then rely on that knowledge as they make decisions for the nation.
