Agency adds information from 27 cemeteries to an interactive database.
The National Cemetery Administration (NCA) announced that they have greatly expanded their online database of veteran memorialization, adding information from 27 Department of Defense-managed cemeteries to the Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM) project. This has added 300,000 interactive veteran pages to the NCA’s search engine, allowing the families of more than 4.5 million veterans to access information about their passed loved ones.
“These new improvements to VLM are a direct result of feedback from family members and the public,” said Danny Devine, executive director of NCA’s Office of Engagement and Memorial Innovation, the office that manages VLM. “We’ll continue to improve the VLM Customer Experience to make the site more user-friendly and the content submission process easier.”
