For he himself is our peace. – Ephesians 2:14
The simplest and most heartfelt prayer you may ever pray is when you are beyond words and you merely whisper the name of Jesus. Whether you speak it out of need, want, praise, love, or fear, His name brings His Spirit.
The work of Jesus on Earth continues today in the presence of the Holy Spirit of God. Inwardly when you speak His name, He will help you find, “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23). When your words have failed, His Spirit will speak for you. “The Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words” (Romans 8:26). And in times you are reaching out to others with the good news, Jesus’ name brings His revelation to seeking hearts.
Everything you need is wrapped up in the name of Jesus. He has conquered every enemy you will face in life. While the evil one comes to steal good things God has planned for you, trying to erode your faith and rob you of peace, the Lord has provided His power to you by merely breathing the name of Jesus. It is literally speaking the word of God: “He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called ‘The Word of God’” (Revelation 19:13). You do not even have to speak loudly, God’s hearing is perfectly tuned to your voice. Pray for leaders in America to become aware of the beautiful name of Jesus Christ and to speak it today!
Today’s Verse: Ephesians 2:14
For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility

5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
