U.S. Chamber of Commerce hosts a gathering of global leaders.
Secretary Raimondo spoke at the U.S.-Ukraine Partnership Forum last week, highlighting a number of efforts the Department of Commerce is taking to dissuade Russia’s war on Ukraine. The event was hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the largest lobbying group in the United States, and was attended by a number of Ukrainian government officials, including Prime Minister Shmyhal and Ambassador Markarova.
The commerce secretary reiterated the commitment of the U.S. to assisting Ukraine as the battle with Russia continues. She also spoke of the vision for the private sector in Ukraine. Secretary Raimondo said, “The U.S. Chamber, the American Chamber of Commerce based in Kyiv, the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council, and other associations based in the U.S. will have important roles to fulfill in the months and years ahead.”
