But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another. – 1 John 1:7
Walking in God’s light is the joy of every follower of Christ. However, some believers lose fellowship with one another because they experience challenges in their daily life of faith. While secure in Christ’s Kingdom as their ultimate destination, some are ashamed to admit the difficulties in navigating the earthly part of their journey. When days accumulate with unaddressed distractions or temptation, shadows of doubt can creep in, and God’s light of life is blocked.
God understands the limits to your human faith, and His word is there to help you move beyond doubt into broader planes of faith. “The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple” (Psalm 119:130). Those seeking to follow Christ will find God’s word literally illuminates His path and can be used to direct your feet! The prophet Isaiah records God’s beautiful promise, “I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths they have not known, I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them” (Isaiah 42:16).
Do you need more of God’s light in your life? Choose to fellowship in a congregation dedicated to exploring and understanding the Bible. Seek out time-tested, faithful teachers and study! You will find your faith growing and fellowship restored as God’s powerful Word fills your heart. Pray for America’s public officials to awaken to God’s Word. Ask that many will seek Bible knowledge and Godly direction in their work and life.
Today’s Verse: 1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
