Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has requested a brief for a full session of the Senate from President Biden’s administration about the top secret document leak from the Defense Department. The Pentagon informed Secretary Lloyd Austin of the leak in early April.
A 21-year-old member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard was arraigned in federal court in Boston on Friday for possessing and transmitting the leaked documents. The accused did not enter a plea at the arraignment, and the court ordered him held until Wednesday for a detention hearing.
President Joe Biden has returned from his trip to Ireland. He is at his Delaware residence today. The president has no public events scheduled at this time.
