The site is designed to test the Pentagon’s security, find weaknesses, and work with professional hackers on national defense.
Beginning in April, the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) Directorate for Digital Services (DDS) launched a website to accompany their program Hack the Pentagon (HtP). HtP was launched in 2016, and hires “ethical hackers” on a contractual basis to find and report vulnerabilities in Department of Defense (DoD) technology.
“With the HtP website launch, CDAO is scaling a long running program, which historically offered services on a project-by-project basis, by offering the Department better access to lessons learned and best practices for hosting bug bounties,” said Dr. Craig Martell, Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer. “The website helps equip DoD to run continuous bug bounties as part of a larger comprehensive cybersecurity strategy.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Officer Martell as he leads these preventative security efforts.
- That the Hack the Pentagon website exponentially increases cybersecurity for the Pentagon.
- That the Department of Defense continues to modernize its efforts to protect America.
