President Joe Biden is hosting a special event at the White House to commemorate the anniversary of the passage of the Affordable Care Act. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the president will share progress made and how the administration plans to work with Congress to meet the health care needs of the American people. She added that, while there is much to celebrate, “we understand that there’s still millions of people that need a lot more.”
The president and first lady will travel to Ottawa, Canada, in the afternoon. NSC Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said ahead of the trip, “Once they arrive, they’ll be greeted by the Governor General of Canada, Mary Simon.” Later in the evening, “The President and First Lady will join Prime Minister Trudeau and Mrs. Trudeau for an intimate gathering at their residence,” Coordinator Kirby added.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president to seek God’s guidance as he works to create policies to meet the healthcare needs of the nation.
- For safety for the president and first lady as they travel today.
- For God to direct the relationship between the U.S. and Canada.
