The Labor Department has reported that U.S. employers hired 311,000 workers in the month of February. This was slightly lower than the 344,000 average from the previous three months.
President Joe Biden responded, saying, “People who were staying out of the job market — this is particularly good news — are now getting back into the job market. They’re coming off the sidelines. They’re getting back into the job market.“
“The share of working-age folks who are in the labor force is higher than it’s been any time since 2008.“ He added, “And today’s job numbers is clear: Our economy is moving in the right direction.“
The president is at his residence in Delaware today. He has no public events on his agenda at this time.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Biden to seek God’s guidance regarding the economy and labor policies.
- For officials in the Labor Department as they assess and report employment statistics.
- For God’s will to be accomplished in the United States.
